Wired glass range
Wired glass has a steel wire mesh embedded in the glass during production. If the glass cracks, the mesh helps hold the pieces in the frame. It is used in elevators and factory doors. It is not an impact-safety glazing, and no fire rating is stated for it.
We supply clear wired glass in 4, 5 and 6 mm, in standard sheets of 2200 × 1800, 2200 × 1600, 2200 × 1500 and 2000 × 1400 mm, packed in wooden boxes or on bulk racks.

What is wired glass?
Wired glass, also called wire-reinforced or wire mesh glass, is glass with a steel wire mesh embedded while the glass is formed. The mesh does not make the glass stronger, but if the glass cracks it helps keep the pieces together and in the frame. Our wired glass comes in clear, 4, 5 and 6 mm thick, for elevators and factory doors. It is not an impact-safety glazing, and no fire rating is stated: a fire rating applies to a tested glazing assembly, not to the glass alone.
